7 Tornado Reports Made Across US on Thursday

Powerful Storms and Tornadoes Sweep Across the Nation's Midsection

A series of powerful storms and tornadoes swept across the nation's midsection on Thursday, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. At least 19 people, including four children, have been killed in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kentucky.

In Texas, a tornado tore through the town of Hawley, destroying homes and injuring dozens of people. The tornado was caught on camera throwing debris high into the air. Three people were killed in the storm.

In Oklahoma, a tornado touched down near the town of El Reno, damaging homes and businesses. One person was killed in the storm.

In Arkansas, a tornado struck the town of Mayflower, damaging homes and knocking out power. One person was killed in the storm.

In Kentucky, a tornado touched down near the town of Hopkinsville, damaging homes and businesses. One person was killed in the storm.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for parts of the Midwest and South, including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kentucky. Residents in these areas should be prepared to take shelter if a tornado warning is issued.
